Episode 18.
A short newsletter break during May 1st holidays turned out to an unscheduled three-and-a-half-week hiatus? Indeed. Instead of listing several excuses, I’ve prepared a dance rant.
But first, happy beeps! After months of recovery, I went for a run. My pinky, my knee and my calf muscle mutually agreed and allowed a few short runs. Putting the shoes back in rotation feels like freedom, but the signs of a longer break are not negligible.
No major running goals at the moment, but rebuilding the engine and resilience, while organising Vitamin Well Run Club group runs and having some fun. If everything goes as desired, maybe a fast marathon in early autumn? A lot of work to be done, but I’m not in a rush.
Sweet and sour beeps next? Final days at the company where I’ve spent 25% of my life are a bag of mixed feelings I don’t even wanna open up – maybe in a separate post one day, but it’s been fun. Most of it. Grateful.
Rant time! Taking photos of a small local band in front of 7 people or a global star with a sold-out venue makes no difference in the effort I’m putting in. If the artist needs the photos the next morning, sure, it can be done. If the artist wants to confirm the photos before publishing them? Sure, I have no issues with that.
But… For the sake of my beauty sleep and inner peace, if you have such expectations and demands, PLEASE approve (or decline) the photos in a reasonable time. Don’t be a dick and ignore me when I’m putting in the extra effort.
Do The Thing
I mowed the grass, bid on some whisky and changed the headlight bulb in my car. I watched a few episodes of SG-1, read a book and killed Hitler – Sniper Elite is an impressive video game. I didn’t publish many of the photos I took.
