Episode 9.
Episode 9, and I somehow wrote the entire thing except the first few paragraphs. A complete opposite of last week – and I’ve got… nothing. Still processing, while simultaneously putting too much on my plate and feeling I should do more. Classic.
A quick look at the calendar doesn’t help either. It practically yells no more, which fits nicely with the above. Busy week ahead – but a good kind of busy.
Much appreciation to all new subscribers joining in. A double-digit jump from last week means I’m either doing something right or the free portrait session is very effective marketing. Probably both.
Do The Thing
Answering a friend’s question: yes, I still buy concert tickets.
I stumbled upon David Mozetič on Spotify, noticed he was opening Zvončki in trobentice at Klub CD, and that quickly turned into three new galleries on the site:
Four, if I count the sold-out Valentine’s Day show in Gallus Hall. Concerts starting at 7 PM? I could get used to that. Really – that old? Maybe.
Besides all the shameless linking above, I realised I also need a bit more space. I’ll be selling parts of my LEGO collection in the coming days – follow my Instagram stories if you’re curious.
Highlights Of The Week
- A new tattoo by Azram at Zeeraw. Not finished yet, but super happy with the experience.
- First round of job interviews done – looking forward to the second.
- A couple of whisky bottles picked up at the Kilchoman EU Tour 2026, KluBar. Thank you Venka Vojo for making it happen.
- Visiting Klemen Ceglar’s exhibition in Višnja Gora. Always a pleasure to see friends succeed and get the support they deserve.
- Grof Red/Rosso, delicious wine from Vogrsko. Tried it a while back, still impressed coming back to it.
- Longer days. Finally.
- Rok Bučar‘s Polenta.
- Dak’s Strawberry Jelly from Ethiopia – excellent coffee.
- Some really nice decorative tiles and their surroundings. Picture attached.

Low-darks Of The Week
- Fog, cold, and rain got to me. A couple of times I convinced myself it was simply too miserable to go out and run. Shame.
- I was really looking forward to Marty Supreme movie, but it turned out to be a bit much for an easy Sunday evening. Maybe I’ll give it another try.
- Booked a focused training weekend with a triathlon club in April, only to find out later the hotel wasn’t available. Sigh.
- I miss Siddharta shows.
Song Of The Week
After a week mostly filled with jazz and evergreens, it feels right to go back to a classic. Rolling Stones and one of my favourites – Play with Fire.
Gogol Bordello dropped We Mean It, Man! album on Friday and it’s just… Gogol Bordello. Love it or hate it, that band has some proper energy.

Doughnuts, episode I.
Carnival season and a rare sunny Saturday morning felt like the right excuse to tour Ljubljana’s bakeries and answer the annual question: which doughnut actually scratches the itch?
Rašica, Berzo, Sladka Jama are every year’s hottest debate, but this time I went for a lap around the city centre.

Brot, Trubar Slaščičarna, Hleb’c and Fetiche Patisserie all had something to offer, each with its own twist. Trubar delivered the comfort of a still-warm classic, while Brot’s Crème Brûlée and Fetiche’s Vanilla were the most memorable. Packed with flavour, simply delicious.
Slaščičarna pri Vodnjaku and Pekarna Osem offered no doughnuts, while La Rue, Yauya, and Rog were, sadly, still closed. Tomorrow the task continues. I have a strong sense that Raw Pasta is preparing something special.
That’s Episode 9. Thanks for reading.
See you next Monday.
