My first show of the year, this time purely as a fan with a camera. From “the curtain has fallen” to a sold-out evening with Jošt Lampret and the Big Band RTV Slovenija, joined by Veronika Kumar on vocals and Gaj Boštic on drums, under the direction of Tadej Tomšič. One of those shows you hope ends up on an album, even though you know it will probably never be played live again. A jewel. It brought back memories of a similar occasion last year with Gašper Kržmanc – I need to revisit that.
This is also the first time I’ve written a caption before editing the gallery, so the photos may surprise me as much as anyone. Karin Zemljič was missed, and we all wish her a speedy recovery. But the moment that stayed with me most? The “return” of guitar virtuoso Primož Grašič, in the shape of his life, sounding and looking better than ever.
