Walking through Cankarjev dom over the past few months brought a quiet sense of pride. Seeing my work printed at scale, promoting Janez Dovč’s return to Gallus Hall with Sounds of Slovenia, ignited a small spark of celebration in an otherwise turbulent end of the year.
This end-of-year concert brought together tradition, poetry, and music rooted deeply in our country’s history. Janez Dovč, joined by Metod Banko, Klemen Bračko, Rudi Bučar, Klemen Kotar, Laura Krajnc, Kristijan Krajnčan, Žigan Krajnčan, Goran Krmac, Irena Preda, Petra Vidmar, Gregor Volk, Tomaž Zevnik, and Maroltovke, created an evening that still lingers – even a few weeks after.
I hope we get the chance to experience something similar this year.

The evening left me with well over 200 photographs in the final gallery, either because it was that rich or because my selection discipline is slowly running away from me. Well, the one above was quite challenging.
