Three months ago, I got a deceptively simple question: “Marko, can you pick 9 photos for a small exhibition at our shop?” Sure. I’ll do my best.
It turned out to be one of the harder tasks I’d taken on in a while: nine frames out of 15 years and exactly 850 concerts, which took quite a bit of time and a few painful decisions. The opening itself was something else entirely – an unexpected ‘sold-out’ turnout and more support than we’d ever anticipated. Wow.
Thanks to the Foto Beseničar and Alenka B. for the idea and the organisation. Thank you Klemen Ceglar for capturing the event, and to all the visitors, friends, musicians and fellow photographers who, over all these years, made sure I never ran out of things to shoot. Grateful.
