S01E02 – Anything But Therapy

Episode 2.

Season 1 continues. This time with orchestral photo galleries, a bit of whisky flexing, and some shameless self-promotion. Which, let’s be honest, is partly the point of this newsletter.

Somehow, I’ve found myself working with a handful of excellent orchestras lately, and I’m enjoying it more than expected. Over the past month, I’ve covered:

Still a bit sad about missing Big Band RTV’s 80th birthday with Chris Potter this year, but I can’t have everything, right?

Last week was hectic, and I’m looking forward to carving out some time to upload the Janez Dovč & Sounds of Slovenia and Siddharta galleries next.

Shameless self-promotion

I’m trying to grow the newsletter a bit, so I published this post with a subscribe form.

Every month, starting December 31st, I’ll pick one new subscriber for a free photo session. If you’re already subscribed, there’ll be another chance.

If you really want the photos, you can also just contact me. We’ll figure something out.

Do The Thing

Rapha’s Festive 500. The annual end-of-year battle with an indoor trainer and 500 kilometres. Three days to go. Non-negotiable. About 100 km left. Doing the thing, while daydreaming about warmer days and riding outside.

Highlight(s) Of The Week

  • Rabim Človeka album by Dan D, what a band
  • Rast magazine cover, Dan D, Založba Goga
  • Arran 2009 Rare Batch French Oak Grand Cru
  • Colombia Nestor Lasso – sidra by Tanat Coffee

Song Of The Week

Jealous Guy by Donny Hathaway.

I found and subscribed to Mr Cutts’ Chop Shop on Patreon and Instagram a few days ago. Owen is simply amazing. Great energy, great content.

#zahranogre

After last week’s enthusiastic eating-out phase, this one leaned more towards cooking at home. Surprisingly grounding. Still, a shoutout to Raw Pasta’s panettone. Worth the year-long wait. Apple, cinnamon, almonds. Perfect.

Last episode of the year? Yes.
No worries though. Episode 3 lands next Monday.

Happy holidays.
