A relaxed end-of-year whisky tasting with Samo from Whisky Club Slovenia and Marko from EtOH, hosted by Broken Bones Distillery in Ljubljana. A welcome and much-needed pause from December chaos, spent with good company, full glasses, and a lineup of Tamdhu whiskies that deserved proper attention. To top it off, we were joined remotely by Gordon Dundas from Ian Macleod Distillers, which made the deep dive into several exclusive bottlings even more special. His stories and thoughtful answers to eager questions earned a well-deserved round of applause.
Alongside Tamdhu expressions ranging from 15 years old to cask strength releases, Broken Bones also opened their doors and bottles, and shared some exciting news of their own. Add homemade walnut potica and a festive mood, and you get an evening done right. My favourite? Tamdhu 2003 Iain Whitecross Single Cask.
I know. I have expensive taste.
